While I love Ethiopian food, especially the spicy lentil dishes and great things they do with greens, I can't say I've ever been incredibly wild about injera by itself. It's always reminded me of thin, damp styrofoam. It's useful for getting the food to the mouth, of course. ;)
much more like soggy ace bandages. i mean, tasty sourdough soggy ace bandages, but still.
i haven't eaten ethiopian food in years. i need to go try it again. (either i'm badly sensitive to something in the spice mix, or else i got food poisoning from two different ethiopian restaurants in a row. i'm going to try for three and see how it goes, as soon as i work up the nerve.)
What are you going to have with the injera?
