Pot pie is one of my wintry-comfort-food things, but I rarely eat it because (a) I don't buy many prepared foods; (b) the vegan prepared ones are *expensive*; and (c) I rarely get around to cooking that involves so many steps. Still, I wanted pot pie today, and
someotherguy was enthusiastic about the idea, so that's what I'm making.
1) I made pie crust from a Vegan Vittles recipe
2) I cooked garbanzos so I can make some Punk Rock Chickpea Gravy from Vegan with a Vengeance
3) I bought fresh peas, which I need to shell (it's not pot pie without peas, as I'm sure you'll agree).
4) Next, I will make the gravy, cook onions and potatoes [edit: and carrots], add peas and gravy, and top with pie crust. Pics if I think of it.
Yum, pie!
