Yay!

Bought a coconut, some lime leaves, some lemongrass, some galangal, enoki mushrooms, and a jar of shrimp/chili paste. Have some chicken and a bottle of fish sauce already. Made coconut cream out of the coconut with my stick blender (lots more fun than it sounds). Guess who's making tom kha gai tomorrow? :-)

I love tom kha gai. It's the dish I use to decide if I like a Thai restaurant; well that and their peanut sauce. loracs hates coconut & curry, so unfortunately she's not as big on Thai as I am. stonebender and I are more Thai compatible, except for the hot and mint stuff. loracs can get into hot and/or mint.
